10/14 - PRAISE BAND meeting this Tuesday

Hey Guys!

I won't be there this Tuesday to meet with you. I'm going to try my best to make it there for 8:02, but definitely won't be meeting with you before hand. Enjoy your midterms and stay steady! We will be talking about trips, poetry, and instruments next time we meet.

--which reminds me--

Please write on here what you think about using or not using instruments during corporate praise to God. Please back-up with your saying with articles, quotes and most importantly, Scripture.

love you guys. a lot.

The God of this City

Hi guys!!

Here it is, finally, you don't have to wait any longer~! the praiseband blog is back!

keep in touch, and stay in touch. -- you know it.

For those of you who missed the first praise band meeting, like me -- shame on us... but the real punishment is for those who missed the second praise band meeting... SHAME on you.

-- Again, I am so sorry for being late the first weeks, There is no excuse other than it takes me 2 hours to get there from work. Barf. But, I'm going to try my very best not to do that again.

For this next week, we are going to have a small chat about what Praiseband is about and what the commitment to the team asks for. It is pretty crucial that everyone is there. I'm going to have another sesh after TNT, and before TNT we're going to have a discussion about song selection and how important it is to correlate with message and so on.

Here are a list of songs–– remember to pray through them and remember that we're talking about Jesus, his life, ministry and resounding grace.

I'm thinking of introducing this new song:
God of this city -- chris tomlin. Semi new. All awesome.

King of Glory -- chris tomlin

sing to the king -- passion

consuming fire -- tim hughes

christ in me -- gary garcia

come and listen -- david crowder

breathe -- passion

before the throne of God above -- hymn

--

PRAY PRAY PRAY.

I love you guys -- jam

I'M FOR SERIOUSLY EXCITED ABOUT SEEING ALL OF YOU GUYS THERE!

**why not comment to this post by saying what you enjoyed most about the summer break?

Today will be the last TNT of the year - it's the study break, so we'll have a praise band meeting, but will not be playing.

Let's be in prayer for the summer season as well as next year and the upcoming freshmen... that God is already working in their hearts and keeping them close and maliable for next year!

love you guys,

Hi

hey guys. just wanted to write here and invite you to start praying for the next season.

the coming of the summer season, and then soon - fall. a fresh batch of cute, cudley freshman that we can mangle and distort to think like we do (i'm sort of kidding)

please pray for God to send skillful musicians, but more importantly, those filled with a heart of worship and a passion to integrate their will and skill to the work of our team.

I love you guys and am praying for ya.
